It's that time of year

We took Tyler and Lola to see Santa Claus at Tuttle's Farm, the same place we go to the pumpkin patch. It was lots of fun and a great day with the family.

At first, Lola wasn't too sure of what to think of the bearded guy.

But she warmed up to him and we were able to get a couple of pics. Tyler loved him, but I could not get him to smile or look at the camera at all. So this is about as good as it got.

Tyler got to pet the bunnies again. He jumped every time they moved though. I think Rascal's scratches have scarred him emotionally for life. Poor thing.

There was a little craft area set up and Tyler made a couple of Gingerbread people. He loved it and gave the lady a big hug at the end. He told her "My mommy said I can give you a hug!"

Playing Around

Tyler and Lola usually play really well together. They are so cute and Tyler loves her so much. She laughs and squeals and that eggs him on so he loves to entertain her.

But sometimes he gets a little squirly and gets over excited and things like this happen. Tyler was playing with his recorder and was swinging it around, when it landed right on Lola's eye. Her first shiner.

She quickly recovered though and was back to her happy self.

And things went back to normal.

She even entertained us with an impromptu concert for my birthday!

Learning to Crawl

Lola has been cruising around the house by rolling around for a month or so now and recently added a full turn on her belly to her movement. Well yesterday, she added crawling! She really just creeps, or army crawls, but it is definitely forward motion. I guess this means we really need to get the baby gates back up. I have to rescue her from under the piano and from the wood floors several times a day already.

Halloween

This Halloween Tyler insisted on dressing up as Spiderman. There was no changing his mind. He came up with it about a month ahead of time, and surprisingly never changed his mind.

Grandma & Grandpa Come for a Visit

Grandma and Grandpa came for a weekend visit and got to spend some time with the kiddos. It was the weekend before Halloween so we all headed to the pumpkin patch to pick out a few pumpkins.

It's Fall - Tuttle Farms

Well it's fall and that means our annual tradition. A visit to Tuttle Farms. Aunt Casey came up to visit Lola and Tyler and we decided to get out in the beautiful Fall weather and enjoy the day.

Lola has really surprised us this week. I've been working on teaching her sign language but I had no idea she would catch on this quickly. The other night we were eating dinner and she must have been hungry. She was yelling at Shaun and opening her mouth for bites of his food. When that didn't work, she turned to me, yelled and signed "milk". LOL

She also started playing along with Pat-a-Cake. She'll do the "roll-it-up and roll-it-up" part. It is so cute!

Oh, and she also has two bottom teeth with one more starting to pop through!

She's on the move

Well, Lola is on the move. She doesn't crawl in the traditional sense though, but she has no problem getting around the room to get what she wants. She uses a combination of rolling and arching her back and scooting on the back of her head. Silly girl!

The other day she was rolling and rolling and got stuck in her blanket like a burrito.

Tyler saw that it was funny so he wanted to get in on the action.

And then Zeus joined in on the fun too!

Gone Fishin'

We took Tyler fishing for the first time at one of our local parks and he had a really good time. He especially loved reeling the fishing pole back in.

He even caught one! He wasn't too sure about touching it though. He eventually did and then Shaun threw it back in the water and so he could "swim away"!
