Tyler turned four months old on 11/7 and is getting to be a very big boy. He had a good check-up - weighed in at 13 lbs. 9 oz. and was a whopping 26 1/4 inches long! He is in the 90th percentile for length and the 25th percentile for weight...a tall, skinny little boy.
The doctor recommended that we start him on single grain cereal to help manage his acid reflux. Now he eats a little bit of oatmeal at night before he goes to bed. It doesn't help him sleep any longer, but he doesn't spit up so much at night now.
He finally started really laughing this past week too! It is the coolest noise ever. He'll laugh when you play with him or tickle his ribs...he loves it.
Tyler started "sleep training" this week too. Basically we are getting him to learn to sleep in his crib for all naps and all through the night and to soothe himself to sleep. He cries sometimes (which is just as hard on mommy & daddy as it is on poor Tyler) but has never cried for more than 15 minutes and even took his morning nap today without crying at all! He slept for a whole 1 1/2 hrs. in his crib without waking up! That's a huge deal for this little boy.
He's getting so big and independent. He won't be a little baby for much longer.
